hey peoples, how would i go about making up some stick battery packs?
also, does anybody know were i can get some larger heatshrink and those end cap things that fit over the top and bottom of the packs?

you could wrap green sticky back plastic round it :lol:
To solder stick packs you basically have to tin each end that will be pushed together. Place them both onto a piece of angle iron or similar so you know they will be straight. You then have to heat up both tinned ends at the same time before quickly removing the iron and slamming the cells together. You can get/make special soldering iron tips to help out and make it a bit easier.
For end caps, I've never bothered. Just have excess heat shrink that goes smaller than the cell diameter and covers it all up. Put some electrical tape or similar to protect the end contacts.
To find heat shrink, go look on ebay
