Hi all,
Looking for a battery charger capable of charging 12 volt Hawkers, mine just started smoking, so looking for a replacement if anyone's got anything laying about.
Thanks,

Thanks for replying guys.
Matt, my propeak can do lead acid, or well, it could, but now doesn't work either.
Jonny, not sure what charger it is, it doesn't have any manufacturing details on it, all it said was 12v lead acid.
Alex, Thanks, PM'd you.
Do you have a variable power supply? I just hook up my variable 40A supply to the hawker. set it at around 14.5v (no higher than 15V or you'll damage it) and keep it going until it's only drawing 1amp
Not sure what this is, I got it along with Mr Nasty, it looks like you can vary the power suply, no idea how to use it though. Does it look like it might be usefull for charging batteries?
Sorry the pics so bad, it's freezing in the garage so I didn't want to spend to long getting a pic of it.
i have one of these http://cpc.farnell.com/unbranded/bcad12 ... dp/BT02566 that i use for general sla charging. Might be worth trying to get hold of a 36v charger for events, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/36-VOLT-8-AMP ... 20b150a25d
Great, thanks Alan, I think I'll get one of those, battery charging has always been a problem for me :)
Lidl have SLA chargers every now and then, I have one for the 18Ah Odessey battery on my car - BATTERY CHARGER ULG 3.8 A1
It can do 6v, 14.5v or 14.7v at 4 Amps, only about £14 I think. They have em in every now and then, but failing that do like said above, bang a power supply on and set it to 14.5v.
