Team Shock's Robots

We've got a few new robots coming soon including our new heavyweight which we expect to see in action early next year.

In the meantime I have been working on another new antweight which will entered into AWS 36- Inertia 3.

This one has been made to resemble the featherweight a little more and it has a fair bit of power in the disc as it uses the same setup as Inertia 2.

Looks vicious! Is it hdpe or some carbon fibre the shell is made of on the bot?

Thanks, apart from the scoop and the disc the whole robot is HDPE, the main part has been milled out of a piece of 20mm to make the shell as tough as possible

Time for a bit of an update as we start our winter projects.

The new heavyweight Soundwave is under construction- need Dad to get his backside in gear and get the gearboxes done :rofl:

We have a new feather under way as well since Whirlwind has started to suffer a bit after 2 years of service. So here we have Shockwave 2

The ram and valve have been lifted straight from Whirlwind, got a bigger buffer going in and a new drive system using 2 of the speed 900 copies on some custom gearboxes.

Chassis is the old Rip Evo from Jonno and seems to have been made to fit the ram from Whirlwind- fits perfectly!

looks like it is the same size ram that was in it originally !!

Just I had it on low pressure !!

Could well be the same size ram- this one's 60mm bore, 80mm stroke.

Started the gearboxes for Shockwave 2 today- needs a bit more doing to it but you can get the idea.
