Information
Tornado is a heavyweight robot that was built in 2000 by Andrew Marchant, David Gamble and Bryan Moss from Cambridgeshire. It debuted in Robot Wars Series 4 where it did well winning the Best Promising Newcomer award after reaching the Semis beating Gemini in the heat final before losing to Chaos 2 in the Semi-finals. To begin with, Tornado was under-estimated but immediately became a popular robot after winning the UK Sixth wars, the European Championships in Extreme 2 and also the Challenge Belt in both series of Robot Wars Extreme, finishing. Tornado is well known for its interchangeable weapons it had in Robot Wars meaning it always had a different weapon for fighting against other robots depending on who they were fighting.
