      Information
Mute is a heavyweight robot that was built in 2002 by Adam Emmett from Stoke-on-Trent, original versions failed to qualify for Series 4 & 5 of Robot Wars, but in Robot Wars Extreme 2 it enjoyed more success finishing runners-up to Storm 2 in the New Blood championships. It came back for Series 7 the next year where it made the Semi-finals beating Behemoth on the way before losing out to Firestorm. Mute has also done well in the live events winning the Robot Crusade 2003 event and the Roaming Robots Aberystwyth event. It famously reached the final of the 2004 UK Championships where it lost due to its link falling out. From 2005 onwards, Mute was in retirement for a while, but it came back again in 2012 for the Robots Live! event at Manchester where in its debut fight flipped itself out the arena! Mute is well known for its powerful flippers that doesn't only give it the ability to attack in any direction, but the front-hinge flipper is so powerful that it sometimes causes it to somersault in the air when trying to self-right and land back upside down again!
