      Information
Hydra is a competitor that was built for Robot Wars. It was originally built by Dennis and Andrew Leadbetter from East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire. The first version was built for Series 5 where it lost the first round of its heat before getting modified for the next year where it reached its heat final losing to Dominator 2 and also finishing runner-up in the Tag Team terror with Barbaric Response. It was then modified again for the next series which is the incarnation it is in now. In 2008, Dennis Leadbetter decided to sell his creation to Andy Steels from Team Hydra (which was called Team Cylon but was renamed due to them purchasing the robot) and has been modified a bit since then. The robot still retains its appearance with the flipper and axe combination similar to that of Mortis which is popular amongst others.

      Achievements
      • Robot Wars Extreme 2 - Tag Team Terror Runners-up with Barbaric Response (2002)
