If you have Power Point you could look here:-

The simplest is a motor with a small sprocket driving via a chain to a drive wheel with a big sprocket.

in the arena i think tracked robots are no way near has grippy has wheeld they just do power slides everywhere , well might not be a bad idea could have drifting compitions in the arena!

how are tracked robot hard to build

Because the drive train is far more complex than a simple wheel system. You may get more grip depending on what your tracks are made from but remember you will have to turn the robot with all that grip.

I highly recommend you go with what is well tried and tested. Once you have a solid footing with a wheeled robot then move onto something more complex.

Ahhh right, I think I understand now. Sorry I mis-read your first post. I thought you meant that you wanted to build a robot that used tank tracks.

Do you mean you want to use a chain and sprocket drive train? But you arent sure how to setup the drive train to transfer the energy from the motor to the wheel?

O and I realise that you dont like to use grammer and punctuation but it does make posts far easier to understand and it only takes an extra 2 minutes.
