If you have read the above report of the March FRA Yorkshire social youll know that the George and Dragon dont want us in their dining area on a Saturday night as they are planning to open it for restaurant customers. They did offer it on any Tuesday evening. I have checked around today at Magna, and I am convinced that we need to keep the FRA socials on Saturday evenings. People wont come maybe 50 miles if they have to be up for work next day. So on the way home this evening I called in at the Sun pub at the other end of Flockton, and they have agreed to let us use their dining area on a trial basis on Saturday May 7th. You can put this date in your diaries. Ill post more information about this location closer to the date of the next FRA social in Yorkshire.

Hi Roboteers.

The next Yorkshire FRA Social is going to be at the Sun Inn at the other end of Flockton village.The social will be held at 7.30pm on Saturday 7th May.The landlady at the previous pub (The George and Dragon) told me at the end of the last social in March that they wanted to open the dining area up for meals on Saturday evenings in the future, although we would be OK to meet at the pub on a Tuesday evening.That is why we are moving to the Sun Inn.The new location is still less than 5 miles from Junction 38 on the M1.Please pass on this invitation to any other roboteers who would like to attend, and are not on my circulation list.I will be happy to send a map to anyone who wishes to come.

Just wondering when the next social is

Sorry to take so long replying. Ive just got back off holiday. We should have had a social at the start of July. As there were very few at the May social, I decided that we should probably give it a rest. There were a lot of summer competitions, and that is probably why the attendance was so low in May.

The next Yorkshire Social should be on 3rd September, but I am already booked for that Saturday evening. How would Saturday 10th September be for you (and everyone else)?
