I am looking for a small Lathe to make featherweight drums and shafts etc, preferably tabletop and reasonably cheap <£2k.

The sieg machines are all pretty decent for the cash. I'd also check out ebay and gumtree. Sometimes find a myford or similar for well under a grand.

I've been looking at this for a while, but I have no idea if it's decent or just craptacular given the price: https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cl50...themill-drill/
    Anyone have experience and/or opinions?

Decent starting machine, but as all combination machines, not ideal.
The milling head had the tendencity to turn on the column.
Only advisable when you're really strapped for space in the workshop. One of the things I did was removing the milling head after I got my milling machine.

I already have a cnc mill so don't need a combo machine. Just looking for something small so I can put it on my bench. Would be nice to able to handle about 100mm aluminium cores for dual disk drums.
