Hi all, i have a question that may seem silly but i do not seem to be able to find the answer. The removable link needs to be accessable from both sides, but can it be put behind a panel. If so what fixings can be used to hold the panel. Or if it has to go in a hole then how large does the hole have to be? Thanks in advance
    Tom

The link needs to be accessible by hand without tools.

This means a panel can be held in place by wingnut which is only just large enough to allow the link to pass through.

In practice you may want it larger to allow free space to get the link inserted in the first place, but after that its easy enough to put in with a rip-chord.

Hi Tom, my robot is a flip over type, I have positioned my removable link in the rear which means it is accessible which ever way up it is. As for access I have used a 2" nominal bore sched 40 pipe with a 2"BSP external thread and had a cap to suit made. The cap is like an old paraffin can cap. The link sits inside the pipe / housing and the cap protects it. Hope this helps.
