Changing battery connectors

Hi,

I have a 12V NiMH battery http://www.componentshop.co.uk/12v-3...tery-pack.html and need to change the connectors on the leads, is this safe to do and if so, are there any precautions I need to take while soldering?

Just done it one of mine

Make sure its the female on the battery , less chance of shorting
Move one lead at a time to the new connector - reduces the risk
