Thread: Selling 2mm hardox Sheets

  1. #11
Niels I would just get in touch with whoever your local hardox supplier is when you need it. Chances are, if a sheet gets rolled at 2mm they will know who to get in touch about it and you miss out on the postage charges etc.

My neighbours metal company went belly-up a year ago...
Sourcing a decent local supplier that is willing is becoming a fantasy at this point...

Well that was initially a bit hectic but I'm caught up with the backlog.

I have 1 37.5x37.5cm sheet left and quite a few of the 25x25cm ones. I won't be cutting anymore as the only hardox sheets I have other than those I need.

Got a few of the sheets left. 1x 37.5cmx37.5cm (£35+£7.50 postage) sheet and 5x 25x25cm sheets.

This is the last of the stock I'm going to be selling. I'll be able to post early next week.

Down to the 37.5cm sheet and only 3 25cm sheets now.

is Hardox sheets hard to cut?

As long as you have an angle grinder it's fairly easy stuff to cut. But it is a wear steel so it's pretty resistant to drilling and handsaws/jigsaws.

Oh, so what is the recommend approach to attaching to a robot?

Anglegrinding and welding is most used.

Some have acces to a plasma torch, what makes curves a lot easier to make.

Trowing money at the problem and having the sheet water or lasercut.

Damn, looks like I'll have to use HPDE instead.
