    I'd go for a 4s lipo instead of the nimh, lighter, more powerful and probably cheaper. If you're using the Accucell it charges lipo anyway

    Treated right they aren't dangerous, you just have to make sure they are well protected, charged correctly and not over discharged.

    Just so it's secure and isn't in any danger of being hit or knocked loose, in a box with foam is fine and cheap/easy.
