Thread: Selling a raptor

  1. #1
Team RCC is selling the Raptor (6 kg) spinner Eclipse.

Combat ready, except for the RX. We use the old DX6 transmitters, and the BR 6000's are rare atm

    What do you get.
5.3 kg of beautifully machined Raptor.
10mm thick ali sideplates and supports. 2mm lasercut steel armor. (with a few battlescars)
Speed 500 based drivetrain, all steel gears. Wheels are ali with glued shore 50 Orings for running surface.
    Controled with 2 BotBitz BB25-esc.
Weapon is powered with a speed 700 turboC equivalent, the biggest allowed in the Raptor class.

    Batterybay contains a 3S 3300mAh Turnegy nanotech.

how much does the raptor cost and how much too replace the RX

Rx you are looking at maybe £10-20 for a new one depending on the make and type but in terms of money for the robot you would be looking at, in my opinion, £750+ for such a well made and well designed machine! Thats what I would offer.

Gotta give it to Denis (guy who built this) he's a good engineer. Made some bits for me in the past I was very happy with.

Correct, and £750 isn't what I was expecting. Not even close.

If somebody would offer that, I would be tempted to accept.

Yep, we bought Eclipse from Dennis when he sold this piece of art 2 months ago.

Some small changes are made tough.
Main visual changes are the battery bay and a few more combat scratches and dents.

Not sure how much interest you'd get, but you may want to cross post to one of the US forums, as if it weighs 5.3kg it's right in line with the 12lb Hobbyweight class and one of the bigger events that runs them is coming up in February with registration ending on the 31st.
