    The future of motor control

68 % Maximum efficiency. Plus its an AC motor.
Sorry, but that doesnt strike me as very impressive :)
Intergrated electronics in the motor is the way of the future though. It gives some nice...

Well people dont have a tendency to run an axe through their phone or laptop.
LiPo and some other Lithium batteries contain Cobalt. This makes them explode into a fireball when damaged. They can...

    Lithium cell tests

John, at work weve had an overdischarged A123 cell which started to leak when it was being charged again. The chemicals released (HF) caused a stinging sensation in the eyes, they are definetly not...
  16. Proposed 100kg weight rule - East Mids and Yorks area discus

It may also be a obligatory idea to have a separate, supervised charging area. Weve had one incident of a A123 leaking which involved the charging of an over-dischraged cell. Some HF escaped although...
  17. Proposed 100kg weight rule - East Mids and Yorks area discus

I find it a little anoying that we not only have to wait for the illusive commercial cell balancers. As Leo pointed out, they are here already. Apart from that, this holds back innovation as there...

    NiCad Balancing

Its always better to ask :)
Yes you can, just remove the cells.
Although it may not be a good idea to reassemble them afther you have used them seperatly for a while.
