The Fighting Robot Association (FRA) is an
organisation of roboteers and event organisers who are carrying the banner
of robot combat into the future.
As Robot Wars the TV series has finished,
the exciting new sport of robotic combat is in the hands of the FRA.
They govern the rules of robotic combat and
set the standards for the sport.
Their rules and guidelines not only
cover how to build a robot fighting machine, but include arena safety for
the open circuit and live events as well.
They have become the governing body for
roboteering in the UK and much of Europe.
The association contains roboteers and
event organisers who's aim is to further the sport of robotic combat.
Live events are organised where live
audiences can witness the action at close range. Roboteers and event
organisers get together in association with the FRA to organise these
awesome robotic combat live events which are happening all the time.
You can be there to see all the action! To
take part in any of these events with your robot, you need to be a member
of the FRA.
With the set rules and guidelines,
roboteers throughout Europe are becoming united like never before!
We can all look forward to the exciting
growth and continued success of this incredibly wonderful and exciting new
sport of robotic combat!
