Most use a 100mm bore ram. And that produces 5x5xPix55 kg of force. Give or take 4 tons.
Mechanical leverage combined with stroke will dictate the amount of lifting power on the flipperedge over a certain powered distance.
Flow is the factor that will make the opponent bowl over or fly away,
Oh wow that's a lot more than some of the lecky actuators I've been pricing up.
In a similar, slightly related vein: what kind of force is needed for a front-hinged device to simply turn over an opponent rather than hurl them about? And how much would it weigh? I just think it'd be interesting to combine a weapon like that with something like an axe or vertical crusher so you could attack the baseplate of an opponent. Do tell me if (like most of my ideas) this is inefficient and/or a bit rubbish. =]
50 kg on top of the front lifting plate.
So, with a 200kg Linak you can topple an opponent with a 3-1 leverage. (I use gutfeeling and distract mechanical losses)
