Venator V2 will also be finished in time - just need to wire the thing up + sort out the wheels and it's good to go.

I'm now in the pretty damn close category. Though I've not been updating the build diary last few weeks and keeping it up to date, a bit of extra work to the top and it's there. So with a small final push it will be ready in time.
I've tentatively named the bot Battleaxe for now, will change if it's already taken.
Hi Guys
Sorry for the lack of updates. I've had my hands full with the arrival of my two daughters 5 weeks early!
Anyway... Thank you everyone who has applied to compete. It really means a lot to us to see so much support. We've had almost 90 entries which is incredible thank you. We are currently going through the selection process and aim to start notifying teams tomorrow. Best of luck everyone and thank you so much.
James
Thanks for the info, James. Hope all goes well with your kids. :)
No worries man, and congrats! :)
Congratulations! :D
Congratulations James :D
Congrats on the twins! :D
Congratulations.
Cluster robot confirmed? :P
Best wishes James :)
Wish I could turn up as I have a feather designed and soon to be in the process of making, sadly don't even have all the electronics yet due to the issue of money, so no chance of having it finished for August. Next year hopefully :)
There is a little list here of people who will definitely turn up

There's a lot missing from that list...
It was for people with bots still being built but would definitely be ready in time (and who replied to the thread)
Hi Guys
thank you all very much. Re confirmations, i'm struggling with an issue on our site but hope to let people know by the weekend sorry.
Was being to panic that my email had been sent to the Junk folder and lost. But for the arrival of children, i'll let you off. Are they your first!?
As for the list, Luna-tic just needs the ESC's putting back in from the beetles, new wedge brackets cut and everything zip tied down again. Plus will need spare's for just about everything. But didn't want to start purchasing them until I knew I was in or not!!!
Ah have you been emailed yet? I've not had anything :O
Nothing yet Tom, I was beginning to panic that it had been lost in my junk emails and didn't want to contact Robogames as I didn't want to sound pushy and naggy!! lol.
More time on the Heavy, until I know for sure either way!!!
Verryyy close with Mantis now. Going to be ready in time easily.
Shrapnel's coming along well, should be finished in a couple of weeks:

Few last tweaks and some testing and Telekinesis will be good to go :)

tension is rishing..
The wait is over - Mr mangle is confirmed and I imagine there are 50 other very happy builders!
Equinox and Omega are confirmed! See you soon :)
Shrapnels in! All aboard the hype train
Hi Guys
Really important. I am ever so sorry but I mistakenly sent the confirmation email to all 90+ entries. I am terribly sorry as this is my mistake. Regretfully we can't fit everybody in so I have just sent those who unfortunately were not selected a new email. Again please accept my sincere apologise for my mistake.
James
scruffy 4 confirmed and is there gonna be a order list for the reserves ..... would be nice to know if night fury stands a chance of getting in again
It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... And I'm all out of gum.
Also hw3's in. LiveWire's on the reserve list but jury's out on whether it'll have been sold by then. But YAY ROBOTS.
Hatchet is confirmed, see you all there!!
Did you guys get some kind of notification for your individual bots? I'm entering two, but I just got the one confirmation email saying that my application had been accepted. I ask because people are talking about a reserve list...
Best bet is to email James/Grant and ask. I haven't seen any mention of what the entry fees are this year so not quite able to tell from the Paypal amount listed when you go to pay.
Team Tauron is confirmed with Spectre :) (Yes, it's now properly called Spectre and not Straddle!)
It was £25 for me. I'll probably show up with both bots regardless, even if one doesn't get a run in the competition. Still though, I might email James to ask.
Looks like your all scared of a little black box, running around like a Lunatic. Sadly I didn't get in. To be fair, it is just a black box on wheels, very little experience and not well made. More time on the heavyweight then. No worries, i'll just have to Smash you all at the live events instead. Good luck to everyone, hope you break each other to bits. Might have a mk2 or an entirely new build for 2018. Enjoy and look forward to the videos.
Following the rw rules going the way of allowing entanglement will this likely be something which will be allowed in the future with feather weights? Interested to know views on this! - Also I'm taking it that entanglements not allowed at this?
Since it's RW rules i thought entanglement was allowed, it would be pretty cool to see it work, probably more effective than in heavies
Flat Damon didn't make it :( . No mention of a reserve list. Fancy a fight in the car park Chris?
I have a similar issue, Amnesia 2 was accepted but Halcyon is a reserve. The invoice I received is for one robot only, is anyone aware of this being normal or should I have received an invoice for both?
Progress on both is going well, (thanks to Haz on the A2 side of things) both should be ready in time to get smashed up... :-|

Looks like I might not be able to attend fully - apparently I am meant to be at a wedding on the Sunday. I've e-mailed the organisers to see if I could still enter the side events (presumably the main competition goes over all 2/3 days) if there are any this year.
Hi Guys
Just a quick clarification on the rule sets.
Firstly Entanglement - This is not permitted in the main championship for this year only. It will be allowed as per RW rules in the side competitions and whiteboards so we can test how it works in FW's. the maximum permitted length will be 300mm
Link positions - For this year it is not required to have an extra link on all invertible robots although I would strongly advise building this in if you can.
All other RW rules still stand. Thank you.
