This is the point I keep on debating with myself. Technically, I can get it mobile before Grantham and given it is Team Kaizen's anniversary, I want to celebrate it in style. I do have a backup just...

I am fairly sure there is another new HW at Grantham as well. If I can get Kaizen moving by tomorrow evening, then maybe, just maybe... it definitely won't have a weapon though.

I can only think of either the chain being out of alignment or a bent tooth on one of the sprockets.

I didn't get a e-mail about Herne Bay until a couple of days before the event (the Thursday or Friday I think) so I am not too worried just yet.

So here is the bad news - Kaizen is very likely not going to Grantham. The wheel issues and the lack of time owing to real world stuff means that I can't dedicate enough time to getting it battle...

Looks neat, don't think I've seen a spring loaded flipper in the BW category before.

I has this issue on my FeatherTwo, it is the trims that need setting on the controller. My axe on The Honey Badger 2 used to provide a little bit of power in reverse so adjusting trims made it stop...

That'd work, just something to provide a extra half a second or something of the opponent being in the right place.

I'd argue for a front hinged flipper that it would be worthwhile since the best effect with a flipper is when the opponent is at the end of the arm opposite to the hinge. Since in the case of a front...

Neat, looking forwards to seeing this soon! Might be worth adding some small hooks at the top of the flipper to prevent opponents from sliding over the top?

It is something like that, aye. If you need a hand doing this at Grantham, come and find me, pretty sure I'll be able to help on the day.

Try adjusting the trims on your controller, I found I had to do that with The Honey Badger to get it to go in a straight line.

No, they are in series, which, as you rightly point out, is a bit more risky than parallel because if the connecting wires break, that is it. The drain on the batteries will be equal though so you...

I've used ball castors before and they do help with manoeuvrability but a dome headed nut will do fine as well. Just keep an eye out for wear and tear.
