Yup, well done us! :proud: Unfortunately not the first time I've kicked up a fuss on here about something stupidly obvious & probably not the last either.

Thanks for all the feedback. Confession time... As I went to swap in a new receiver, I noticed that the leads were plugged in the wrong way round. I've put them the right way round now & it works...

I've had this happen to me with Shu! where the end stage planet gears just got stripped. It wasn't that the motor was being overvolted (it was a 12V motor running on 9.9v), it was the load on the end...

The odd thing, I find, is that I can't get the gearbox on their own. I guess it's probably more economic to simply get the whole assembly premade than it is to have the parts shipped in separately....

Ah, I had forgotten one of your gearboxes has broke. I'd open it up and see what's going on in there first but for a replacement box, it might just be more economical to simply replace the gearbox...

Update time! Azriel So the bodywork is kind of together and the wiring loom is in. It all works! However, once again, it's too heavy by 100mm. Ultimately, it's the polycarbonate causing the...

Technically the gearbox on your motors is a drivetrain. If you mean spur gears, I don't personally think it is worth it with the motors you have now. If you were running brushless or bigger motors,...

Short of welding the wheel to the shaft with a metal plate, the "pin through the shaft" idea is the best method I can think of. However, you could also drill a small indentation, attach a wheel hub...

Jigs work but can be a pain the that's ass. Just measure and measure and measure again. One option if you get deep pockets and space is a 3axis sliding table and a bench drill. Or a mill.

When you drilled the holes, did you use a centrepunch? That should make an indent to stop your drillbit walking off.
