Q.
Who are the FRA?
A. The FRA consists exclusively of roboteers and event
organisers.
Q. What are their aims?
A. To provide a central resource and representative body
for Roboteering. Detailed aims, which it's hoped will develop over
time, are available on our index page.
Q. How do I become a member?
A. Membership is now available please see the
JOIN page for details.
Q. What do I get as a member?
A. Representation at a regional and national level. Safer
and more consistently organised and run events. We are also
working towards providing insurance for all members.
Q. How do I voice my opinions?
A. Through your regional representatives who are listed on
the Contact Us page
Q. What are the main differences between
the FRA rules and RobotWars(T.M) rules?
A. We have relaxed rules where it is safe to encourage
innovation. For example, we have removed restrictions on bottle
sizes. We have added new rules in order to provide a safer
environment at live events. For example, externally visible power
lights. Please read the FRA RULES for
further information.
Q. Are the FRA going to have clubs?
A. There are regional meetings where roboteers can express
their views and share suggestions on a regular basis. We hope
these will develop into permanent clubs in the future.
Q. Are the FRA building an arena?
A. No, the FRA is not an event organiser. It does however
encourage organisers to work together and share resources.
Q. What does the future hold for the FRA?
A. The FRA's future will be shaped by it's members.
This is your opportunity to HAVE YOUR SAY
in how our sport grows.
